The Parish of Gwinear is situated in the Eastern Division of the Hundred of Penwith. To the north is the Parish of Gwithian with Camborne also in the north going around to the East. Crowan is to the East going around to the south of Gwinear Parish, with St. Erth and Phillack both lying to the west. Gwinear Parish consists of 4,647 acres and was formerly a very important mining parish. - from West Country Genealogy

NB: 1746 Richard of Crowan married Catherine Rodda of Gwinnear (DL) and 20/12/1758 John Rodda of Gwinnear m Margaret Eustice in Crowan (DL). Elizabeth of that line probably married John Harvey 1829 Crowan and lived Gwinnear Downs, wher visited 1851 Cs by Crowan/St/ Keverne relatives (see charts).

Henry of Gwinnear was of full age when he married Mary Bawden 1837 St.Anthony Meneage, his father Anthony a labourer. Cf Anthony and DL Henry
Henry and Mary bpt Eliz Jane 1842 and are the family shown in the Gwithian charts.
James Eusties of St. Erth m Mgt of St Erth and has son Phillack Cs 1851, which shows visit by sister-in-law Jane Stapleton, aged 17, of Gwinnear. Note in 1982 a Clayton Stapleton of Gwinnear said to be interested in genealogy, but not yet followed up.
James, miner, son of Richard = mine agent, lived Carnhell ? Green and married Elizabeth Simms Floyd, daughter of miner Mathew Floyd and from same location, 29th Aug 1840 D93 Both signed.
A William in the Camborne Cs 1851 is a 25 year year old grocer and draper who claims to be from Gwinnear. Same William 1871 Cs entered as 45 born Crowan. Repats claim 1881 Cs.

George 1831 - 3/7/1913 an Bezurrel and wife Elizabeth 1832-17/9/1920. These identify with 1881 Cs pair, perhaps parents of Derrick and Dorothy on electoral roll from Bezurrel, who have children Elizabeth Mabel and Catherine Jane.

John died 2/5/1934 aged 69 at Tregotha and wife Elizabeth 23/2/1939 aged 74. Their children Louie (f) d 12/4/1931 aged 28 and Herbert d 11/6/25 aged 27. SCH has Louise 1899.
Arthur died 25/11/1957 aged 68.
Note 1873 Return of Owners of Land has Mrs Eustice of Gwinear with 12A 1R 6P (London PRO) rent valued at £4 2s 1d p.a.
Don -ace provided the chart below in 1982. I have not checked it but he visited Elizabeth Mabel sometime in the 80s so it may have first hand input. Note Pooley figuring as a first name. Richard DL married Grace Pooley Crowan 1795. From 1882 Gwinear Cs Henry Pooley butcher and Farmer 32 acres aged 55; James Butcher 25; William Pooley, 53, copper miner. I found none in 1841 Cs 1841 but Buzzurel was full of Daveys. Gwinear Down has Wm Pooley. Plenty of Harveys, Bawdens/Bowdens, Shunggs/Smuggs ande Huthnancde. Check entries from Gwithian and Crowan for connections.
